Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your BooksShore account and your personal data at any time, whether you joined with your email, with Google or with Facebook. Here is how.
1. Ask us to delete your account
- Sign in to BooksShore.
- Open Help & Support and start a new request.
- Ask for your account to be deleted. We may check that the request comes from you before we act on it.
If you can't sign in, email us at privacy@booksshore.com from the email address on your account. We'll confirm once your account has been deleted, normally within 30 days.
2. What we delete and what we keep
We delete your account details (your name, email, phone number, city and address), your profile, and the link to your Google or Facebook sign-in. We keep only what the law requires, such as records of orders and payments, for as long as it requires. Accounts with orders or commission are disabled instead of deleted, so those records stay complete. Our Privacy Policy explains this in full.
3. Disconnect BooksShore from Facebook or Google
Signing in with Facebook or Google only shares your name and email address with us. To stop that sharing:
- Facebook: go to Settings & privacy › Settings › Apps and websites, find BooksShore and choose Remove.
- Google: go to your Google Account › Security › Your connections to third-party apps & services, find BooksShore and choose Delete all connections.
Disconnecting stops new sign-ins with that account but doesn't delete your BooksShore account. To delete it, follow step 1. If you'd like to keep using BooksShore, you can set a password first and sign in with your email instead.
